📚 Read
- Researcher turns wi-fi smart lightbulb into a Banned Book Library — open source project makes digital books available via a server and open Wi-Fi access point hacked into an ESP32-powered bulb I love this project. It combines two of my favorite things - repurposing hardware and distribution of books. I like how it would be difficult to track down if someone was trying to shut it down, as you wouldn't expect the device to be a light bulb.

🆕 Misc
- Completed a code refactor test for a potential position!
- Went to Microsoft Build //localhost:spokane - this was an interesting event. I have felt quite behind on the AI front due to the timing of being laid off in July 2024 and not having a job since. AI has really taken off as a tool for developers in the last year, and it simply wasn't being used yet across most companies back when I had my last position. The demos in this event made me feel a little less behind, because I was able to see how actual developers are including AI in their workflows and the kinds of things they're using it for.
